Knitting is worked in rounds (the equivalent of rows in flat knitting) in a spiral. There are different knitting patterns, such as lace knitting, loop knitting, loom knitting, we will briefly discuss lace knitting, lace knitting is not that strange, anybody can do lace knitting, they are able to form threads and you can create beautiful patterns of cloths.
Patterns and pictures can be created in knitted fabrics by using knit and purl stitches as "pixels"; however, such pixels are usually rectangular, rather than square, depending on the gauge of the knitting. You could even teach a "keep up" class where people who have completed all three classes meet once a month or bimonthly to keep in touch with knitting. As far as the patterns are concerned you should remember that the pattern and the ply should be the same, so use four ply yarn for a four ply pattern and Aran' yarn for an Aran' pattern.
In some cases, a stitch may be deliberately left unsecured by a new stitch and its wale allowed to disassemble. I read somewhere that if it's mild enough but effective enough for my hair it must be good enough for my knitting. When knitting, the yarn ball winder should be used to keep the yarn at an even tension.
If the fibers are first aligned by combing them, the yarn is smoother and called a worsted; by contrast, if the fibers are carded but not combed, the yarn is fuzzier and called woolen-spun. More complicated techniques permit large fields of colour (intarsia, for example), busy small-scale patterns of color (such as Fair Isle), or both (double knitting and slip-stitch colour, for example).
Not only will this provide a nice social outlet, but your new knitting friends may also be able to help you locate and use new knitting patterns and new ideas for knitting projects. Patterns for knitting provide a strong outline and foundation for starting any new knitting project.
