Knitting needles in a variety of sizes (US 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 15 from the bottom). Originally, circular knitting was done using a set of four or five double-pointed knitting needles.
A second potential difficulty is that the knitted piece will slide off the tapered end of the needles when unattended; this is prevented by "point protectors" that cap the tapered ends. Whereas the second crochet hook is used for skipped, or drooped stitches specially stitches like tufting. When the needle passes in the cam shell path, the knitting is made.
You could even teach a "keep up" class where people who have completed all three classes meet once a month or bimonthly to keep in touch with knitting. Exercise is great, yet, doing something for your soul, is just as important. Even a beginner can make a simple scarf with novelty yarn in just a few hours, and have it look just fantastic.
