how to knit cable stitch

When I have spent hours working on knitting a sweater, I want to make sure it looks as good after a dozen washes as it did the day I was knitting it. Knitters were first believed to have begun their craft in the first few centuries AD.

New wales can be begun from any of the edges of a knitted fabric; this is known as picking up stitches and is the basis for entrelac, in which the wales run perpendicular to one another in a checkerboard pattern. Baby blanket knitting patterns are available, and because of the square design, are quite simple for beginners. The color-scheme of a yarn is sometimes called its colorway.

There are actually hundreds of combinations of stitch patterns. The double moss stitch pattern creates a more textured raised effect on the material which looks great for any number of projects. If you don't have one the you can just place the knitting on a fresh towel.
