beagle knit sweater pattern

I wanted to set out some basic knitting instructions as a refresher so here it is. Welcome to the wonderful world of knitting! Even if you've been here for a while, there is always something new about this most fascinating craft!

It is a good idea to keep the knitting yarn draped over the right forefinger, this keeps it to the back of the work too. Your knitting pattern whilst looking attractive needs to be suitable to the garment you want to knit. The choice available is vast and the decision depends on what garment you want to create.

The first step is to setup a basket or bonnet which makes the needles move continuously. A good place to start particularly if you are relatively new to knitting to look for patterns is the yarn skein, which comes wrapped and nearly every one of these will have a pattern on it. In plying, two or more yarns are spun together, almost always in the opposite sense from which they were spun individually; for example, two Z-twist yarns are usually plied with an S-twist.

While knitting patterns can offer suggestions for design and color ideas, it is ultimately up to the artist to decide what the final product what look like. Even a beginner can make a simple scarf with novelty yarn in just a few hours, and have it look just fantastic.
