In this brief article we aim to just give a basic understanding of knitting needles, their sizing and what you need to look out for. Welcome to the wonderful world of knitting! Even if you've been here for a while, there is always something new about this most fascinating craft!

It is very easy to learn the process of making sock using the sock-knitting machine. Knitted garments are often more form-fitting than woven garments, since their elasticity allows them to follow the body's curvature closely; by contrast, curvature is introduced into most woven garments only with sewn darts, flares, gussets and gores, the seams of which lower the elasticity of the woven fabric still further. Now count the stitches, if they are all there, turn the right knitting needle around and put it in the left hand.

The number of rows should be counted when the carrier goes around the cylinder, while knitting. During knitting, the active stitches are secured mechanically, either from individual hooks (in knitting machines) or from a knitting needle or frame in hand-knitting. But mistakes can also be a good thing.

The third needle type consists of circular needles, which are long, flexible double-pointed needles. A circular needle resembles two short knitting needles connected by a cable between them.

You watch it come to life as you go, and little by little, your knitting becomes reality. Keep YOUR knitting on the "Cutting Edge" with FREE patterns.
